Replica gas tank has a right side petcock location, and a fuel capacity of 2.4 gallons.
Sportster gas tank is a stock styled high tunnel tank that features stock mounts and filler neck.
Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting.
Do not grind or sand the seams or joints.
Clean the inside of the tank.
It is suggested to pressure test.
Check petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed, in some cases you may need to run a chaser to clean up the threads.
Petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of petcock.
This Tank uses a low pressure relief vent Gas Cap, found on 1985 and later tanks.
